Tucson G.M. Talks About El Paso, PCL
Tucson Padres General Manager Mike Feder spoke about the potential of his franchise moving to El Paso in the near future during a news conference today in Tucson. Feder acknowledged that the Padres are on the only PCL team on the market, and that El Paso has put in a bid to buy a team, contigent on the construction of a new stadium, which is contigent on the Pacific Coast League approving the move of a team to El Paso. Sources have told Newschannel 9 that a decision could come by July 11th, the date of the Triple-A all-star game in Buffalo, but Feder said he expects a decision to take the PCL about two months.
