Las Cruces native Austin "No Doubt" Trout is less than 48 hours from the fight of his life against four-time World Champ Miguel Cotto. You might expect nerves, but you would be wrong. In fact Trout is beeming with confidence and made a bold prediction Wednesday at the media conference.

"Saturday night I plan on making history. Not in the form of letting Miguel be the 5-time World Champion. But in the form of being the only person to beat Miguel Cotto in New York," said Trout.

Cotto responded, "I'm just going for him. I'm going to work as I worked in the training camp and go for the victory."

"Cotto vs Trout" is a 12-round battle between Four-Time and Three-Division World Champion Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30 knockouts) and undefeated WBA Super Welterweight World Champion Austin Trout (25-0, 14 knockouts) taking place on Saturday, December 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The co-featured fights will see Jayson Velez take on Salvador Sanchez in a 10-round fight for the vacant WBC Silver Featherweight title and Danny "Miracle Man" Jacobs battle Chris "The Irish Ghost" Fitzpatrick in an eight-round middleweight fight.

The event is promoted by Miguel Cotto Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions in association with Greg Cohen Promotions, sponsored by The Puerto Rican Tourism Board and Corona and will be televised live on SHOWTIME at 7:00 p.m. MT.
