UPDATED: Tuesday, November 27, 2012 - 7:59pm

"Cotto vs Trout" is a 12-round battle between Four-Time and Three-Division World Champion Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30 knockouts) and undefeated WBA Super Welterweight World Champion Austin Trout (25-0, 14 knockouts) taking place on Saturday, December 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Austin Trout spoke about his training camp in Ruidoso, New Mexico.  "Camp was good, I am at 100 percent, the only thing left is to drop three pounds and execute the plan on December 1st. It was an intense camp, we had a good ten weeks to prepare, it's the longest camp I have ever been in, so I am in the best shape of my life right now."

The co-featured fights will see Jayson Velez take on Salvador Sanchez in a 10-round fight for the vacant WBC Silver Featherweight title and Danny "Miracle Man" Jacobs battle Chris "The Irish Ghost" Fitzpatrick in an eight-round middleweight fight.

The event is promoted by Miguel Cotto Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions in association with Greg Cohen Promotions, sponsored by The Puerto Rican Tourism Board and Corona and will be televised live on SHOWTIME at 7:00 p.m. MT.
