After missing the season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Head Coach Mike Price has elected to shorten the suspention of 3 players. Defensive back Travaun Nixon and wide receivers Evan Davis and Marlon McClure will all join the team when they visit Houston this Friday.

Coach Price said that Players Committee approached him and asked that he reevalute his punishment.

"They've done a good job with their responsibilities. Over and beyond what I expected them to do," said Price. "We're going to allow them to play."

UTEP is going to need all the help they can get. The Cougar offense ranks in the tops in the country and rank as the 27th best team in the country in this weeks AP poll.

Anything to win right coach? No wonder college football can't seem to clean up it's image, even if it means using drugs.
