Skelton Leads Cardinals to Win in First Start of Season

Burges and Fordham grad John Skelton overcame giving up two safeties in his first start of the 2011 season for the Arizona Cardinals to beat the St. Louis 19-13 in overtime.

Rookie defensive back Patrick Peterson returned a punt 99 yards for the game winning touchdown in overtime. It's the third punt return for a touchdown of the year for the first year player.

Skelton was 20 of 35 for 222 yards passing and one touchdown. He also ran for 38 yards. The win is the second of the season for Arizona snapping a 6-game losing streak. Skelton improves to 3-2 as a starter in the NFL.
