Roethlisberger Won't Appeal Suspension

(AP) - Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger says he won't appeal the six-game suspension he was given for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. Saying he is disappointed with himself, Roethlisberger
apologized to his teammates and fans for his behavior last month in a Georgia bar, where a 20-year-old college student accused him of sexual assault.

In a short statement released by the team, Roethlisberger promises he will not put himself in such a situation again.
It marks his first comments since being suspended Wednesday by commissioner Roger Goodell. Roethlisberger says that while he did not commit a crime, he fell short of the values instilled in him by his family. He also says it will be "devastating" to miss games.
