Rocktagon Worldwide returns to the Sun City to ring in the Newe Year after two successful shows last year featuring all of El Paso and Las Cruces local MMA talent. January 17 will be the first of many shows that are scheduled for El Paso Texas this year. The Main Event just announced will be Las Cruces Billy “The Puerto Rican Assasin” Colon (6-5) vs. Dan Miller (5-1) from Ft Worth, Texas.

Semi-Main Event will be Midland-Odessa Desmond Hill (4-1) vs. Utah’s Oliver Parker (4-3) winner of this bout will be the #1 Contender for the Rocktagon Lightweight Championship. Hill was featured on Rocktagon 29 winning a close split decision victory over El Paso’s Armando Rivas of Bushido MMA in the “Fight of the Night” back on September 28, 2013.

Co-Main Event will feature an El Paso favorite as Patrick “Skar” Dixon (6-5) returns home to face CP Perry (4-3) from Bryan, Texas. Dixon who trains in Florida with American Top Team looks to return home and excite the El Paso MMA fight fans once again.

This 9 bout fight card will also feature El Paso’s Jesus Urbina, Julio Hinojosa from Bushido MMA, Jessica Kennett, Joseph Provencio and from Ft Bliss Combatives Team Anthony Stevens. Joe Torrez from Las Cruces, NM and Paco Castillo from Juarez, Mexico and female amateur standout Amanda Lovato.

Rocktagon 30 “Journey of Champions” January 17, 2014 at the Buchanans Event Center, located at 11540 Pellicano Dr. Doors open at 6pm and the first fight is at 7pm. Tickets start at $30 and can be purchased at www.rocktagonworldwide.com.
