Rhinos host “Guns ‘n’ Hoses” weekend
Thursday, February 23, 2012 - 3:14pm

After sweeping the Brahmas this past weekend, the Rhinos will be playing the last series of the regular season against the Dallas Ice Jets from Friday to Sunday evening. The proceeds from the weekend’s events will benefit children in their battle with cancer as they have partnered with Candlelighters. This will be the last chance to support the Rhinos during the regular season as they prepare for playoffs. As always, military members and their families get in free when they show their ID, courtesy of Interglobal Logistics.

After successfully securing home ice for the playoffs, Coach Herman is very ready to face the Dallas team beginning Friday evening; he mentioned, “This weekend will be another big test. The ice jets are in a battle with the Brahmas for second place in our division. We need to stick to our game plan and play for a full 60 minutes to have any success against a strong team like the Ice Jets.”

The Rhinos are partnering with Candlelighters and the proceeds will benefit children in the battle with cancer. The players will be wearing a special jersey, which will be auctioned Saturday night. There will also be a Law Enforcement Tournament held Friday and Saturday night. VIP Passes for the Thorne Cup have also gone on sale, please visit the El Paso Rhinos Web site for more information and to download the form.

Tickets are still available for this weekend at all Ticketmaster locations and at the El Paso County Coliseum box office and Sierra Providence Events Center box office. The Events center box office opens at 6 p.m. on game nights. Please visit the El Paso Rhinos Web site at www.elpasorhinos.com or call (915) 479-PUCK (7825) for more ticket, seating, game and promotional information.
