Rhinos hope for another title at the National Championships

Tuesday, April 15, 2014 - 8:50pm

The El Paso Rhinos stormed through the Thorne Cup playoffs last week in El Paso, winning the cup by defeating their opponents... The Rhinos have won 33 straight games, and hope to keep the momentum at the United Hockey Union Junior Hockey National Championships April 16-20 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Rhinos are a senior laden group, and know this is the year to get it done.

"We have so many age-outs, 20 year olds, that coach said we are going for it all, and that was our goal from day one. We got one championship out of the way, we have one more to go," said forward David Nelson. Forward Nick Plesa added, "Work hard, compete and just out work that other team and hopefully we can bear down, and win it just like the Thorne Cup."
