Baylor Quarterback Robert Griffin III is apparently headed for the NFL.

A family source has told ESPN that the Heisman winner will inform Baylor head coach Art Briles today (tuesday) that he will not return for his final year of eligibility.

Griffin had a stellar 2011 season, throwing for over 4,000 yards and 37 touchdowns, while running for almost 700 yards and 10 more touchdowns.

Baylor finished this season with 10 wins, matching a school record, and a 67-56 win over Washington in the Alamo bowl.

Griffin leaves Baylor with 10,366 yards and 78 touchdowns in 41 games as the Bears quarterback.

RG3 is expected to be a top-ten pick in this year's draft and some even suspect he could steal the number one spot from Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck.
