Rangers, Aztecs Seniors Sign Athletic Scholarships

The El Dorado Aztecs are sending more athletes to college. Dorsheka Lopez is headed to Northern New Mexico College to play basketball in Espanola, New Mexico.

Three football players also signed. Leslie Byerly is headed to Canton, Ohio. No, not for the NFL Hall of Fame, but for Malone University, an NAIA school. Jesus Luna and Raymond Gonzalez will head to Alpine, Texas to play at Division III Sul Ross State.

A future teammate of those Aztecs, Riverside's Ray Terrazas is also headed to Sul Ross State. Ray will play both football and baseball along with a current teammate, Kirby Hernandez who signed to Sul Ross last week.

Dorsheka Lopez is going to Northern New Mexico College which is a 4 year college not a junior college as stated by the news.
