Monday, April 5:  Today, Riverside High School announced Eric Frontz will take over as the new Head Coach of the Rangers football program.  Frontz was an assistant under former Ranger Head Coaches Tom Work and J.J. Calderon, serving as Defensive Coordinator.  Forntz has been with Riverside for 6 seasons, and is a graduate of El Paso High School.  Frontz said, "I am very proud to be the next head football coach at Riverside High School. The bar has been set extremely high, which is a challenge I can't wait to get after. It's been a long process the last few weeks, but hopefully that is over and we can get to the football coaching part."  Frontz wants a wide open offense and that tough Rangers defense to scare opponents next season.  Frontz will start a new tradition:  he plans to hold spring football for the first time at the school.  Spring football will begin May 11th.
