The Montwood Rams earned a hard fought game one victory in Midland over Southlake Carroll, winning tonight, 2-1, in the best of three series. Game two will take place tomorrow at Citibank Park in Midland at 10:00am MT. You can listen to the game at:  www.tsrnsports.com

Rams starting pitcher Saul Avila staked claim to this game, pitching seven strong innings, giving up seven hits but only one run. Eder Erives had an RBI sacrifice fly in the third inning that tied the game. Then in the top of the 7th, Erives was walked with the bases loaded scoring the winning run. Montwood actually left eight on base, something the team will have to change if they want a victory in game 2.
