14-time All-Star catcher Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez has apparently decided to call it a career.

40-year-old Rodriguez will make it official Monday at a press conference in Arlington, Texas, according to reports.

"Pudge" spent the first 12 of his 21 major league years with the Texas Rangers. He has spent the last two seasons with the Washington Nationals. Rodriguez hit 311 home runs in his career. He crouched behind the plate for 2,543 games. More than any other catcher in MLB history.

Rodriguez won 13 Gold Glove awards and was the 1999 American League MVP. The debates over his Hall-of-Fame electability have already begun.
