Plenty of magical storylines playing out tonight on the 6th night of the London summer games.

In the pool.... Michael Phelps pulled off a 3-peat in the men's 200 meter individual medley. Phelps held off teammate and rival Ryan Lochte in the final meters of the freestyle leg to capture gold.... Lochte won silver. Phelps earns his 20th career medal, 16 are gold.

Rebecca Soni broke the world record in the women's 200 breaststroke for the 2nd straight day.... this time she went under 2 minutes 20 seconds to claim gold.

In the men's 200 meter backstroke, American Tyler Clary wins his first olympic gold medal.... Ryan Lochte won bronze.

Gabby Douglas is the new queen of gymnastics after claiming the women's all-around title and a shiny new gold medal to go with it. Douglas joins elite company, Mary Lou Retton, Carly Patterson and Nastia Liukin are the only three American gymnasts to win the women's all-around title at the Olympics. American Aly Raisman tied for third, but lost the bronze medal on a "tie-break".

Tthe United States men's volleyball team beat Brazil in an early showdown.... the U.S. lost the first set, but came back to win the next 3... Brazil's #1 in the world, the Americans beat the Brazilians for gold in Beijing.
