NMSU Football Holds Media Day

Sports

POSTED: Thursday, August 23, 2012 - 9:29pm

UPDATED: Thursday, August 23, 2012 - 10:40pm

Brush your teeth, comb your hair, and say "cheese!" It was picture day for New Mexico State football at Aggie Memorial Stadium Thursday afternoon. The crimson and white are now just seven days away from their season opener at home against Sacramento State of the FCS. For the Seniors on this team, it is a chance to be nostalgic as they experience things for the final time as Aggies.

"We were freezing in February during workouts, and this is my last team run in the workouts, last summer lift, last year of pictures, everything, it's like my last time, so I am trying to joke around a little more because it's my last time, and that's I am going to miss the guys, miss the lockeroom, like you said, I get a little teary eyed," said Senior runningback Robert Clay.

"Today was just media day so got a chance to give them a couple of days to get their feet back up and under them, and tomorrow back at it, so we're excited," said Head Coach DeWayne Walker.

The Aggies season kicks off Thursday, August 30th at 6pm at Aggie Memorial Stadium.
