United Blood Services is so proud and excited to once again be the benefactor of the 11th annual Sunland Park Gala, 6:00pm Friday, March 22nd, the premier event prior to the famous Sunland Derby.

United Blood Services is your community non-profit blood bank and exists to ensure a safe and adequate blood supply to 19 area hospitals in El Paso and Southern New Mexico, through recruitment of volunteer blood donors.

Deion Sanders, who holds the NFL record for career return touchdowns, has been an analyst with the NFL Network since 2006.

An eight-time Pro Bowler, Sanders played 14 NFL seasons for the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens. In 1994, Sanders helped the San Francisco 49ers win Super Bowl XXIX and was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year. A year later Sanders won his second consecutive championship, helping the Dallas Cowboys to a Super Bowl XXX victory.

A two-time All-American at Florida State, Sanders was a first-round draft pick of the Atlanta Falcons in 1989. He is the only person in professional sports history to play in the World Series and the Super Bowl.

Sanders can now be seen on NFL GameDay Highlights and NFL GameDay Final. He's also a fixture on Thursday Night Kickoff Presented by Sears, NFL Network’s two-hour live pregame show, as well as Thursday's Sprint Halftime Show and Kay Jewelers Postgame Show.

Proceeds from this event are used to assist United Blood Services in recruiting, training and educating volunteer blood donors and coordinators and to provide area high school and college scholarships.
