The home opener is on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. (MT) and is being marketed as Ag Day, with over 40 New Mexico agriculture companies on display during tailgating. The Aggies will play host to Cal Poly.
A special kid price has been introduced this season, as all kids 12 and under can receive entry to any home game this season for just $5. The home opener will also feature a special concessions deal for kids. Each $5 kid’s ticket holder will receive a free hot dog and drink at the concession stands. This special concessions deal is good for the home opener only.
The Aggies will also be revealing the brand new playing surface, which includes a giant Pistol Pete logo at midfield, and a vibrant, colorful design. Kids will be able to come down to the playing surface following the game.
Fans can listen to the game on the radio at 98.7 FM with ‘Voice of the Aggies’ Jack Nixon giving the play-by-play action. TV coverage will also be available with AggieVision giving the coverage. Please check with your local cable or satellite provider for coverage in your area. Fans can also watch on ESPN3.com.
The New Mexico State soccer team kicks off a busy week of non-conference soccer at rival Texas El-Paso, Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m.
The Aggies return home for a pair of games beginning Friday, Aug. 29 at 4 p.m. against Houston Baptist and host Incarnate Word Sunday at 1 p.m.
The New Mexico State volleyball team kicks off its season with a road trip to Salt Lake City, Utah, this week to participate in the Utah Tournament.
The defending Western Athletic Conference champions will begin the tournament by facing Missouri State on Friday, Aug. 29, beginning at 4:30 p.m. (MT). The Aggies conclude the tournament with a doubleheader on Saturday, Aug. 30. NM State meets Montana State at noon before wrapping up play against host Utah at 7 p.m.
