This week in NMSU Athletics
Las Cruces, NM — The New Mexico State baseball team plays four games on the road this week starting with a single non-conference game against in-state rival New Mexico, Wednesday, April 2 at 6 p.m. (MT) with radio coverage on KSNM AM 570 in Las Cruces. The Aggies then get back into league play taking on Northern Colorado for a three-game series from Friday, April 4 through Sunday, April 6. Friday’s game starts at 3 p.m. (MT), while the games on Saturday and Sunday begin at 12 p.m. (MT).
The Aggies head out for the first road conference series of the season against Kansas City, April 4-5. The doubleheader is slated to begin at 1 p.m. on Friday with the series finale set for 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5.
The New Mexico State men’s tennis team will host Western New Mexico at the NM State Tennis Center on Wednesday, April 2, beginning at noon (MT).
The New Mexico State women’s tennis team will play a couple of home matches this week. The Aggies host Western New Mexico on Wednesday, April 2, at the NM State Tennis Center beginning at 2 p.m. (MT). Tarleton State then visits the NM State campus on Friday, April 4, to play the Aggies, also at 2 p.m.
Track and Field
The New Mexico State track and field team travels to Lubbock, Texas where it will continue its 2014 outdoor season at the Texas Tech Open on April 5. This is the third meet of the outdoor season for the Aggies, all of which have been held in Texas.
