Las Cruces, NM — The New Mexico State cross country team travels to Horizon City, Texas, to compete in the Lori Fitzgerald Invitational on Friday, Sept. 13. The Aggies enter this meet coming off sweeping the top-three spots in the women’s 5K run and the men finishing in third place at the Lobo Invite, Sept. 7.
The Saturday, Sept. 14 game between New Mexico State and UTEP is the 91st meeting between the two schools. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start at Aggie Memorial Stadium in Las Cruces. The game will be televised live on AggieVision, as Glen Cerny (play-by-play) and Danny Knee (analyst) bring you all the action from the television booth. The game will be on live locally on Comcast in New Mexico, CW (El Paso), My50 (Albuquerque) Fox College Sport Pacific, Fox Sports Arizona Plus and Altitude2. You can listen to all the action with the ‘Voice of the Aggies’ Jack Nixon and color analyst Preston Williams beginning at 5 p.m. on KGRT 104 FM. Also catch the action in Spanish with Bob Sherman and Sal Betancourt on Vista 98.7 FM.
The New Mexico State women’s golf team opens its 31st season at the Hobble Creek Invitational, Monday, Sept. 9 and Tuesday, Sept. 10 at the Hobble Creek Golf Course in Springville, Utah.
The New Mexico State soccer team hits the road for its final two non-conference matches. The Aggies meet Northern Colorado, Friday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. in Greeley, Colo., and then face Wyoming, Sunday, Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. in Laramie, Wyo.
The New Mexico State women's tennis team opens the fall tournament season when it hosts the Aggie Invitational, Friday, Sept. 13 through Sunday, Sept. 15. The three-day tournament welcomes eight teams including WAC opponents Grand Canyon and rivals New Mexico and UTEP. The invitational begins at the NM State Tennis Center on Sept. 13.
The New Mexico State volleyball team opens its home schedule hosting a tournament in the Pan American Center, Friday, Sept. 13 and Saturday, Sept. 14. The Aggies open their own tournament at 10 a.m., Friday, facing Southern Utah before taking on Arkansas-Little Rock at 7:30 p.m. NM State wraps up its tournament, Saturday, at 1 p.m., when it faces Northern Illinois.
