The New Mexico State volleyball team takes to the road this week facing Chicago State, Thursday, Oct. 10 in Chicago, Ill. at 6:00 p.m. (MT). The second match of the week is against Kansas City, Saturday, Oct. 12 in Kansas City, Mo. at 6:00 p.m. (MT).

Radio Coverage: The Aggie Sports Network is airing 15 matches over the radio waves this season with 13 on KSNM AM 570 and two on KGRT 103.9 FM with Jay Sanderson giving the play-by-play action. The matches airing over the in Las Cruces can also be heard from anywhere around the world on the Internet by logging onto www.NMStateSports.com. Just click on the live events link to access the coverage for a fee.

The match against Chicago State, Thursday, Oct. 10 is set to air on KGRT 103.9 FM and the match against Kansas City, Saturday, Oct. 12 is scheduled to air on KSNM AM 570 in Las Cruces. Both matches start at 6pm (MT).

Television Coverage: Six matches are scheduled to be produced for television by the AggieVision Production team this year. For a complete show times go to www.AggieVision.tv or call your local cable provider.

The next match to be produced by AggieVision is Thursday, Oct. 24 against Grand Canyon.

About the Aggies: NM State is 9-8 after sweeping Bakersfield last Monday, Idaho on Saturday and Seattle U on Sunday.

The Aggies are currently leading the WAC in opponent hitting with a percentage of .197 and ranking second in blocks with a 2.43. They are also fourth in hitting percentage of .197.
Gwen Murphy had 10 blocks against the Bakersfield Roadrunners. Desiree Scott had a season-high 16 kills on a season-high hitting percentage to go along with seven blocks against Idaho. Bradley Nash posted her third double-double of the season with 13 kills and 11 digs while Taylor Livoti posted a double-double of 27 assists and 10 digs against the Seattle U Redhawks.
Scott ranks second in the WAC in hitting percentage (.356) and blocks (1.23), and ninth in points (3.41). Lauren Loerch ranks ninth in the WAC in points (3.34) and 10th in kills (2.80).

NM State returns five starters as well as a libero from the 2012 WAC Tournament Champion team. Leading the way for the Aggies are 2012 All-WAC selections, seniors Desiree Scott (middle hitter) and Lauren Loerch (outside hitter). NM State also returns senior libero/outside hitter Stephanie Ziegler who was named to the 2012 WAC all-tournament team. The Aggies finished the 2012 season with a 22-11 record while reaching the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in program history, all under head coach Mike Jordan.

This Weeks Opponents
Chicago State: The Aggies are taking on Chicago State for the first time in program history.
Chicago State is coached by first year head coach Toby Rens, who entered the season with 298 career victories. The Cougars are led defensively by the Townsell sisters, senior Mysta and junior Mia.

Kansas City: This will be the first meeting between Kansas City and NM State.
Kansas City is coached by Christi Posey who is in her third season with the ‘Roos. Kansas City is led by sophomore Emma Hagedorn who was named honorable mention All-Summit league last season and senior Chloe Jarema, who posted 1.74 kills last season.
