New Mexico State cross country runner, Diana Hawk, was named the Western Athletic Conference Female Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 23-20.

Hawk is a junior from Albuquerque, N.M. (Eldorado HS), and has finished first overall in four races this season, including the Kachina Classic, which the Aggies hosted on Sept. 28.

Hawk finished with a time of 19:11.90, at the Kachina Classic, which marked a season-best time for her in the 5K event.

This marks the second time this season that Hawk has been named WAC Female Athlete of the Week.

Hawk, and the Aggies, will be in action on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Rim Rock Collegiate Classic in Lawrence, Kan.
