As expected, the Las Cruces boys basketball team was seeded the #1 overall seed on Sunday for the 5A Playoffs. The Bulldawgs finished the regular season 22-4 and will host 16 seed Rio Rancho. Mayfield, the 12 seed, will travel to 5 seed Eldorado. Oñate made it in as a 15 seed and will travel to 2nd seed Albuquerque.

The girls District 3-5A champion Mayfield lady Trojans earned the 4 seed and will host 13th seeded Rio Rancho. Las Cruces will also host as they earned the 8 seed and will face 9th seeded Cleveland. 12 seeded Oñate will travel to 5th seeded Hobbs.
