National Champ Wrestling Coach Returns to Roots in El Paso

Archie Randall, a former El Pasoan, was in El Paso today for a one day wrestling clinic at Jefferson High School.  He brought his Assistant Coach and 4 other National All- Americans (2 males and 2 females OCU wrestlers) to help with the clinic.  Randall's purpose - to help teach the kids of the Sun City wrestling techniques and to help them form a love for werestling.

In 2010, Randall was the College Women’s Coach of Year, and in 2009 he received the USA Wrestling President’s Award. At Oklahoma City University, where he started the program from the ground up, his team has won 3X WCWA College Women’s National Team Championships and 4X NWCA College Women’s National
Dual Team Championships. He has coached 16 WCWA College Women National Champions, 54 WCWA College Women All-Americans, and 11 NAIA College Men All-Americans. When he was the head wrestling coach at El Reno High School, in El Reno Ok., he coached 56 State High Champions, 56 State Placers, and 22
All State Wrestlers. His team won the Oklahoma 4A Wrestling Individual State Team Championships-11 consecutive years, as well as the Oklahoma 4A Wrestling Dual State Team Championships-10 consecutive years. He was also the Oklahoma Wrestling Coaches Association Coach of the Year eight times.
