Miners Near Perfect over New Mexico State.

September 18, 2010 - The Battle of Interstate-10, the silver spade and brass spittoon, and bragging rights for an entire year go to the UTEP Miners for a second consecutive year. Head Coach Mike Price and his squad were nearly perfect offensively when they defeated the New Mexico State Aggies in the Sun Bowl 42-10. Miners QB Trevor Vittatoe had a career night throwing for 246 yards and 5 touchdowns and also rushing for 54 more.
Up next UTEP hosts Memphis Saturday and 7pm while the Aggies travel to Lawrence, Kansas to take on the Jayhawks.
