Mexico and U.S.A. play to a scoreless draw in World Cup Qualifying
The United State and Mexico are heated rivals on the soccer stage, and when it comes to World Cup Qualifying, the U.S. has never beaten Mexico at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. After tonight, the Americans still not have earned a win in Mexico City, but they did salvage a point after a scoreless draw.
The U.S. played well defensively, and Mexico had their chances to score, even earning a possible penalty kick late in the game, but the penalty was not awarded to El Tri, who complained wildly to the referee to no avail.
The U.S. now has 4 points in the Concacaf region in World Cup Qualifying, while Mexico has 3 points through three games. World Cup qualifying resumes in June.
