McCoy Signs to UTEP, plus 8 Conquistadors Sign to College

Parkland High School's Tommy McCoy took the bronze medal at the 4A State Championships in the 300 Meter Hurdles, and now has a Division 1 scholarship.  McCoy was a district champ in the hurdles, long jump and triple jump, but will compete in the hurdles at UTEP.

"I always wanted to run division one, it's been my dream. UTEP is able to provide that for me and it's going to be a heck of a journey, looking forward to it. This isn't the end," said McCoy.

At Del Valle High School, Eight signed athletic scholarships.  They are:

Justis Bradley - Signed to play soccer at West Texas College in Snyder

Andrea Archuleta - Signed to play Volleyball at Florida Christian College in Kissimmiee, Florida

Mayla Rascon - Signed to play Volleyball at Dodge City Community College

Claudia de Lara - Signed to play Soccer at Texas A&M International in Laredo

Gus Morin - Signed to play Soccer at the University of the Southwest in Hobbs

Abel Barrios - Signed to play Soccer at Richland College in Dallas

Allan Saucido - Signed to play Soccer at Richland College in Dallas

Brian Garcia - Signed to play Soccer at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio
