Mayfield Beats Valley, Will Play for State Title

The Mayfield Trojans will play for the 5-A New Mexico State Chamionship.  They defeated Valley 60-57 in the semi-finals on Thursday evening at University Arena in Albuquerque.  With the game tied in the 3rd quarter at 36-36 the Trojans were able to pull out the three point victory in the final game.  The State Championship game takes place 8:30 Saturday at The Pitt against a yet to be determined opponent.
