Magic Stay Alive in NBA Playoffs, Diablos Fall at Sioux Falls

Wednesday, May 26: The NBA's Eastern Conference Finals have just got interesting, thanks to the Orlando Magic's 2nd consecutive victory over the Boston Celtics. Jameer Nelson scored 24 points, Dwight Howard added 21 and 10 rebounds, as the Magic defeated Boston, 113-92. Boston once led the series 3-0, but now leads it 3-2, with game 6 Friday in Boston.
The Sioux Falls Pheasants overwhelmed the Diablos for the second straight day as they downed El Paso 11-0 at Sioux Falls Stadium on Wednesday night. El Paso drops their third straight. They are now 2-3 on the current road trip. The Pheasants scored early and often and El Paso never got the bats going. They jumped on El Paso starter David Whigham in the second inning pushing in four runs. They would add four more runs on Whigham before he was finally taken out after the sixth inning. Whigham (0-2) ended the night by going six inning and allowing eight runs on 11 hits while striking out four. The Pheasants hit two more home runs in the game and have now hit five off the Diablos’ pitching in the two games.
