Less Than 15,000 Tickets Remain For UTEP Football Opener Versus Oklahoma
Sports
Friday, August 24, 2012 - 2:16pm

UTEP athletic department officials announced that as of the close of business on Thursday (Aug. 23), fewer than 15,000 tickets were available to the general public for the football team’s season opener against Oklahoma.

Students can pick up their free tickets by visiting www.sportslottery.utep.edu with a new Miner Gold Card that also gains access to the stadium.

The Miners and the Sooners will square off on Saturday, Sept. 1, with kickoff set for 8:35 pm Mountain.

“Sales have been steady for this game,” Director of Athletics Bob Stull said. “There’s a lot of excitement with the fourth-ranked team in the country coming to the Sun Bowl. As always, we expect a big push on game week. We will continue to sell season tickets up until the Oklahoma game, and that’s still the best value for our fans.”

Family packs (two adults/two children ages 3-12) are available for only $198 and season ticket prices start as low as $60 for youth general admission (ages 3-12) and $90 for adult general admission. The UTEP season ticket office phone number is 747-6150.

Single-game ticket prices for Oklahoma range from $25-$70 and are available by calling 747-5234 or visiting www.Ticketmaster.com.
