The Las Cruces Yankees 10U baseball team won the 2014 State Championship tournament in Rio Rancho on June 15. The Yankees returned to Las Cruces and also won the city league championship on June 24. The team will travel to Santa Fe to compete in the regional tournament in hopes to continue a successful season and qualify for the World Series in Puerto Rico.

The Las Cruces Yankees is a competitive baseball team comprised of 9 and 10 year old athletes from Las Cruces, Alamogordo, Sunland Park New Mexico and from El Paso Texas. They are the defending AABC 2013 and 2014 NM State Champions and the 2014 AABC Global World Series 10U Champions. They are currently ranked #32 in the Nation! The boys won the LCYBA AABC City League Championship and traveled to Santa Fe, NM to play in the Willie Mays South Plains Regional Tournament where the boys went undefeated and were crowned the 2014 South Plains Champions! The next step is to represent our Region and participate in the AABC Willie Mays World Series in Puerto Rico July 30- August 4th!
