Two trends continued Thursday at Madison Square Garden: the Knicks kept winning and the Lakers kept losing.  New York thumped Los Angeles 116-107.

Kobe Bryant had a game high 31 points but Los Angeles could not overcome a bad start that saw New York score 41 first quarter points.
