Jump Down Azoom is top qualifier for $95,400 West Texas Maturity

Jump Down Azoom sizzled in his trial and set the top qualifying time for the $95,400 West Texas Maturity on Friday at Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino. Trained by Victor Rodriguez-Flores, Jump Down Azoom outran Tres Seis Nueve and posted a time of 19.276 seconds for the 400 yard heat.

Rodriguez-Flores also qualified Jess Cuervo and Bugsy B. for the finale to be run on Saturday, March 2. The speedy African Rose is the 3-1 morning line favorite for Saturday’s featured $50,000 El Diario Handicap at six and one-half furlongs.
