Almost 100 high school football officials from 17 states were given an opportunity to fine-tune their on-field skills with "real-time" guidance from some of the best officials in the collegiate and professional ranks. For the 9th year in El Paso, the West Texas Football Oficials Clinic assembled a staff with NFL and NCAA officials and with supervisors from FBS and other conferences.

Men and women that attended the West Texas Clinic officiate game action over two days, working 7-man mechanics at Sun Bowl Stadium and other locations during spring scrimmages for several El Paso-area high school teams. Clinicians  from the Pac 12, CFO West (Big 12, Mountain West and Southland), Conference USA, American Athletic Conference, Rocky Mountain, SWAC and other leagues offered tips during play and recorded on-field work for classroom video review sessions. Deep officials were given a chance to work specifically on punt coverage in a unique setting with live-action kicks, returners and gunners.
