Despite leading 7-6 at halftime, the New Mexico High School Football South All-stars lost 15-14 to the North at the Field of Dreams in Las Cruces on Friday night.

It is the first win for the North since 2008. The South still leads the all-time series 43-21-4 and has won 13 of the last 18 meetings.

The city of Las Cruces was well represented for the South All-Stars with Mayfield fielding 7 players and Las Cruces High with 5. Santa Teresa's Josh Ramirez was also invited.
