The Las Cruces High School Football team is experienced as a school could be, but the 'Dawgs could not hold on to a 24-10 halftime lead over Manzano, and fell to the top ranked team in the state, 35-31.  Las Cruces finishes the season 10-2 overall.  Meanwhile, across town, the Mayfield Trojans are headed to their 7th State Championship game in 9 seasons, after beating La Cueva, 21-17 Friday night.  Mayfield will meet Manzano in the 5A State Championship Game, 2:00pm Saturday, December 4 at Wilson Stadium in Albuquerque.
