Hanks Ready for Turnaround in 2011

The Hanks Knights Football Team had a tough 2010, finishing 3-7 overall with a very young team. In 2011, 10 starters return, but overall, Hanks see's much more depth at every position. A goal every year is the playoffs, but Head Coach Jeff Cleveland thinks this team can aim for a district title. He's excited to see what this team can do with returning quarterback Paul Pendergrass and WR/KR Patrick Pettis.
"I think this year our expectations are very high for ourselves. I think we are a team that has plenty of talent, and our main goal is to compete for a district championship and then also for certain get into the playoffs. We are going to have to play some good football, but I think we have some guys that can get it done," said Cleveland.
Hanks opens the season Friday, August 26 at Abilene High School.
