Today, Chapin Senior Quarterback Anthony Campuzano has been named the Academy Sports High School Football Player of the week.  Anthony was 14-16 for 188 yards and four touchdowns in a 62-3 win over Jefferson last Friday night.  For the season, Anthony has completed 64% of his passes for 1,820 yards, 17 touchdowns with 8 interceptions.  Campuzano also has 3 touchdowns rushing.

Campuzano deflects all the praise to his battery of offensive weapons.  "It's definitely very easy throwing to very talented and fast receivers who get open all the time and catch the ball."  Chapin Head Coach Rene Hernandez likes his enthusiasm.  "Anthony kind of took a leadership role, a little more vocal, a little more outgoing then he had been before, always been a leader but kind of quiet. The last 5 games he has been outstanding."

This Friday night, the District 1-5A title will be on the line when Chapin (7-2) hosts Andress (8-1) at Austin's R.E. McKee Stadium, 7:00pm kickoff.
