Bowie wins battle with Austin

Bowie has played four football games this year and the Bears have come away with four convincing victories.

Austin was he latest school to feel the bears growl as Bowie beat the Panthers 40-7 on Thursday at Baty-Simmang Stadium.

Bowie led 26-0 at the half and built a 4-0 nothing before Austin finall scored.

The Bear defense has allowed a total of 28 points in the first four games and will next play Austin.

In other Thursday games:  Las Cruces Centennial defeat Estancia 55-6.

In the Socorro Independent School District Middle School Championships: 

                            Slider 20 Puentes 0 (7th grade boys)

                            Ensor 54 Hambric 0 (8th grade boys)
