Friday, May 7:  State bound Nina Herrera of Franklin signed today to attend UT-San Antonio.  Herrera qualified for the State Championships in the 1600M, and is very excited for her next stop: College.  Nina Herrera said, "I didn't think this many people would show up to watch me sign a little piece of paper. But I guess it's the actual idea that I'm signing to go run somewhere that they wanted to support and I'm just happy everybody was able to come."  A Hanks duo signed to play football at the next level at Malone University in Ohio.  Quarterback Matt Reyes and Reciever Saul Muñoz signed to play football in Division 2 at Malone.  Saul Munoz said, "I am stoked, I mean I never thought I was going to play college ball, so it's a big accomplishment. I'm pretty happy."  Matt Reyes added, "It's pretty big, I didn't think I would end up playing college football, but I am excited. '
