J.P. Hayes continues his good play on the PGA tour. He is in Cancun this week at the Mayacoba Golf Classic and the El Pasoan opened with a six under 65. He is tied for second place, one shot back of Joe Druant. Hayes finished 5th in last week's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro Am. His round included 7 birdies and a single bogey on the 18th. Using a long putter, Hayes needed only 26 strokes on the greens.
