Riverside soccer has had a lot to celebrate this year reaching the 4A State Final Four and continued the celebration as Jesus "Kike" Martinez signed a scholarship to play for Oklahoma Wesleyan. Joining him in Oklahoma will be Irvin High School's Daniel Quintana, Sammy Serrano, Rafa Diaz, Marcos Varela, and Andrew Thompson.

Coronado's Jallycia Pearson has had a busy week competing in the UIL State track and field championship in Austin this weekend and signed to run for UTEP today. Pearson said the decision to stay home was an easy one.

"They have a really good track program, and they are division one, and also they had my major, so that's two good things and that's why I chose it," said Pearson. She plans to major in physical therapy.

At Franklin High School, Decker Smith signed to play basketball at the University of Dallas, Division III. Smith averaged 7 pts and 6 rebounds per game last season. Dallas went to the div. III postseason a year ago.
