Franklin Head Soccer Coach Scott Pickey has done it again. Last week, Franklin High School clinched its 7th District title in 10 seasons with a perfect 15-0 record. In fact, it's been defense leading the way for the Cougars, who have given up only four goals in 15 district matches. Despite one regular season game left tomorrow night at Coronado, the Cougars have their eye on the playoffs, starting in round 1 with defense.

Senior defender Paulina Gomez said, "The last two years we have lost in the first round, so we really want to strive for a win in that first game."  Senior Midfielder Carissa Ramirez added, "Defense is a major key, we have all worked together, both offense and defense, working on the defensive part of the game, it hasn't been easy but we have kept up, we back each other up the entire way."

Playoff Bi-District seeding and matchups will be made Saturday morning.
