Thursday, April 22:  Franklin Baseball's Garrett Lewis signed today to play baseball at Lubbock Christian University, in Lubbock, Texas.  Lewis is batting .455 for the Cougars, who are tied for the District 1-5A lead with Americas at 10-2.  Hanks is a half-game back at 10-3.  LCU has been playing baseball since 1971, and won the NAIA 2009 National Championship.  LCU was 52-8 last season, and 23-3 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.  Garrett Lewis said just before signing, "I am just estactic to tell you the truth. I am so pumped to get to college and get on with my life. You know, LCU has a great baseball program, they are NAIA National Champions."
