Former Miner Stone Signs Deal with Denver
After not hearing his name called in the 2011 NBA draft and an offseason of unknown with the lockout, former UTEP Miner point guard Julyan Stone has reportedly signed a 2-year, $1.1 million deal with the Denver Nuggets.
Stone considered signing to play professionally with an international team this summer but ultimately elected to be patient and wait out the lockout. Stone was also courted by the New York Knicks.
Stone is the all-time assist leader at UTEP and in Conference USA. Newschannel 9's Beau Bagley has your 10pm sports.
