Former Dallas Cowboy cornerback Clayton Holmes was in town to take part in the annual Brian Young football camp at the Sun Bowl. The two time Super Bowl winner was in town to help out in the two day camp that offers high school juniors and seniors a foundation to prepare for college and life after football.

Camp participants take part in football drills, but also get advice on SAT and ACT preparation, nutrition and fitness and applying for college. Holmes won Super Bowl rings with Dallas in 1992 and 1993, and talked about his eagerness to return to El Paso.

"I think this is my third or fourth year coming and they are starting to know me. So I feel really comfortable when I come here. It's like a second home and I really mean that. They make me feel really good when I come. El Paso is turning into a beautiful place. I see new things every year when I come. it's a wonderful place."

The camp stared on Friday and concluded today, and was free to all high school junior- and seniors-to-be. Other notable camp instructors included former Saints receiver Tim Duckworth, former Philadelphia Eagle Freddie Mitchell, and former UTEP stars Cedric Johnson, David Cotchery, Rocky Perez and Mike Deal.
