Pima Community College softball outfielder Alexis Dotson was selected a First-Team NJCAA All-American on Wednesday.

Dotson, a freshman outfielder from Las Cruces High School, NM, hit .516 on the year, which included four games the Aztecs played in the Region I, Division I tournament. She had 111 hits in 215 at-bats with 36 steals, 12 triples and 38 RBIs as the softball team’s lead-off hitter.

She is the third softball player in four years to be named a First-Team NJCAA All-American. Yvette Alvarez was named to the first team last season (2013) and Mari Contreras was a first teamer in 2011.
