Given the opportunity to gloat, Tim Floyd took the high road.  He would not criticize his former Athletic Director, Mike Garrett.

"My experience here at UTEP just reinforces how valuable it is to have an administration that is supportive. I wish Pat Haden the best and know he will support his coaches and athletes at USC," said Floyd.

USC fired Garrett and several other administrators Tuesday, naming former quarterback Pat Haden as the new Athletic Director.

The UTEP Basketball Coach has repeatedly said he left USC not because of NCAA violations but a lack of support from the University Administration.

The NCAA slapped the Trojans with two years probation and loss of scholarships for several violations involving former Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush and basketball star O.J. Mayo.
