Tim Floyd saw more good than bad as UTEP lost to Tulsa on Saturday but he also knows how correct the problems. UTEP lost, 69-68 to the Golden Hurricane, dropping their record to 17-5, and the Miners are now in a 3-way tie for 2nd place in Conference USA at 5-2. UTEP is tied with Memphis and UAB, with Southern Miss just a half-game back at 5-3.
UTEP Head Coach Tim Floyd ran his players hard today, and said before practice that in the Tulsa game, he saw "No real commitment to free teammates, screening, cutting, a lot of standing. Quick one pass shots, not a real great team, not a real great UTEP team that I saw. Good practices, that's why we are going to finish this session and get after them pretty good here right now."
UTEP will host UCF, 7:00pm Wednesday in the Haskins Center.
