Floyd critical of Bohannon, Moore after loss
For the second time in three games, UTEP Junior center John Bohannon dressed but did not play for the Miners for disciplinary reasons in Saturday's 74-70 loss to Tulsa. McKenzie Moore lost his starting spot to Jalen Ragland. Moore finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in 30 minutes of action. After the game, when asked about the decision not to play Bohannon or start Moore, Head Coach Tim Floyd was blunt.
"I'm disappointed with John Bohannon's approach to team and was with McKenzie Moore's as well. That's why they didn't start. That's why they didn't play. They were late for our film session and our shoot around today. It's not the first time either. You can talk to them the first time but... It's ridiculous to have to deal with it this time of year. I'm sick of it. Really sick of it," said Floyd.
Floyd did not say if there would be additional discipline or if Bohannon and Moore would play Wednesday at Houston.
